Can you detail a Sprinter, camper van or Class B?

Short answer

Yes, at the Monroe shop only, because Tukwila's bay door is too short for tall vehicles. Sprinter-size vans have their own price list. Camper vans, Class B motorhomes, box trucks and enclosed trailers are welcome and quoted individually.

Why can't every shop take a tall van?

It comes down to the door. A high-roof van or Class B motorhome needs a tall bay door and enough room inside to work around it. Plenty of detail shops simply can't fit one indoors, and detailing outside means sun, rain and dust working against the finish.

What's different about detailing a van or Class B?

The surface area is much larger, the roof is high, and campers often have fiberglass or gelcoat sections, decals, awnings and windows that need different care than automotive paint. Inside, a camper has living space as well as a cab. All of that is why these vehicles are quoted individually rather than on a standard price list.

How should I care for a camper between details?

Wash regularly, focusing on the front end and lower body after highway trips. Clean bugs off soon, before they bake on. Before storing a van for the season, a wash and a fresh sealant help it come out looking the same as it went in.

Can a van be protected long term?

Yes. Sealants and ceramic coatings work on vans too, and the large flat panels benefit from how easily grime releases. Learn more at Seattle Ceramic Coatings.
